I had to write a review on this gun because it turns out to be the best caulk gun I have ever used. If you think all caulk guns are the same you are right. Most of them are crap. Except for this one, and maybe one other one that is imported from England and is very hard to find. I've gone through dozens of caulk guns, with each one being less than satifactory and then breaking. They just don't do what they are supposed to do and they don't hold up to the abuse of every day use. Metal guns get bent, plastic ones crack, plunger mechanisms and triggers are poorly made etc. For years I have wondered why nobody makes a decent caulk gun, it is such a simple device how can manufactures keep getting it wrong? Well, they got it right on this gun. It must be in the spring mechanism because this baby is smooth. The trigger pulls easily even with heavy Butyl caulks, and it really does not drip. It guns very evenly and there is no problem laying a nice even bead without the globs you get from pulling the trigger again. It's made of a tough molded plastic and super light weight. So far been extremely durable too, I've dropped it off ladders several times and it still works fine. Loading and unloading a tube is a no fuss operation, which is one of my biggest peeves with other guns. There is no spring release button, you just pull back on the plunger to remove the tube. For $13 bucks this is a winner. Buy this gun! Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment

Purchased this as a gift for my father who is retired and has mild arthritis. After receiving it, he spent the rest of Christmas day applying 8 tubes of caulk to every crack, crevice and narrow gap around the house, with no hand fatigue. His house is now much more energy efficient, although my mother probably won't be too happy in the spring when she finds the windows have been caulked shut. Highly recommended, but I think it should be noted that moderation is key here... Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment

ETS2000 Ergo Composite Caulk Gun (Misc.) I have had the $ 0 metal caulking guns and the rust, get dented and the tube seems to jamb or caulk keeps oozing out when I squeeze the trigger. They are functional but the ETS2000 overshadows these by a lot. I only have use for this quality of tool every so often so it will last a long long time. Many nice features and smooth action. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: excellent for a beginner, August 17, 2009 By Lund Wolfe (Tucson, AZ) This review is from: Dripless Inc. ETS2000 Ergo Composite Caulk Gun (Misc.) I've never caulked before, so I don't know how this compares to other caulk guns, but this one was easy to use, light weight, and has very little drip. It does make you want to search your house for more caulking that needs to be done. It's almost too bad that the work is done so easy and so quick. If this gun costs more, especially including shipping, I'm sure it's worth it. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: Best caulk gun by far, August 2, 2009 By D. Africk "I disapprove of what you say, but ... (Asheville, NC) This review is from: Dripless Inc. ETS2000 Ergo Composite Caulk Gun (Misc.) Most people wouldn't get excited about a caulk gun. But as someone who has spent over a year weatherizing homes full time, I love this caulk gun! It dispenses caulk smoothly and with minimal effort, the no-drip feature works flawlessly, and it is very lightweight yet feels sturdy. Plus the poker rod is actually long enough to puncture the nozzle seal without cutting the hole larger than you want to. The truth is, a $[...] sheet metal caulk gun will get the job done, but it will be a messy and annoying process. A $[...] no-drip gun(same thing but with a spring) actually works pretty well and is widely available. But I highly reccomend spending a few more dollars for this one, which will make caulking a more positive experience. You won't regret buying this, especially if you do a lot of caulking. One more tip: If you do a lot of caulking, get used to the [...] jokes. They're inevitable, and you may as well embrace them. Was this review helpful to you? ETS2000 Ergo Composite Caulk Gun (Misc.) This caulk gun is primarily made of plastic but it is heavy duty and well made. I have no concern about it breaking. The dripless feature works very well, but I have had some minor dripping (nothing like a regular caulking gun, however). It's best to pull the plunger back a little if you're setting the gun down. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: This drips like the rest of the cheap caulk gun, June 3, 2011 This review is from: Dripless Inc. ETS2000 Ergo Composite Caulk Gun (Misc.) I bought this because I detest how the silicon caulks drip out even after I release the trigger. From other reviews, it seems that this won't happen, unfortunately it's no difference. Would I spend this much money on this gun if I know this? Never. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment (1)
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: Finally one that works!, June 20, 2010 This review is from: Dripless Inc. ETS2000 Ergo Composite Caulk Gun (Misc.) I have purchased various caulking guns over the years and have never found one (until now) that works smoothly, clean and does an excellent job of laying caulk. It is just the ticket for someone like me, who is not particularly skilled in caulking and only does so on occasion. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment

The only gun I use now as previous guns leaked the chaulk. It is truly dripless. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
