This review is from: Newborn Brothers 930-GTD Gator Trigger Drip-Free Hex Rod Caulk Gun (Tools & Home Improvement) If you have ever used a caulk gun and found the dripping after you squeeze the trigger and apply the caulk, messy. Stress no more. This gun is drip-free. I highly recommend it. You will waste less caulk. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Oh so very nice..., September 7, 2011 By D. Hurst "dachsylady" (Texas) This review is from: Newborn Brothers 930-GTD Gator Trigger Drip-Free Hex Rod Caulk Gun (Tools & Home Improvement) I've always had inexpensive caulk guns. You know the kind. The $3 guns from the home center that continue to pump out caulk at an alarming rate even after you've quit pulling the trigger? Since I knew I was going to have to caulk all my home's windows (and there are a lot), and I knew a lot of the interior painting I'd planned on doing was going to require some caulking beforehand, I decided to "splurge" and buy a better caulk gun. Oh my. I am so glad I did. I used the gun the first time while prepping for a painting job, and it is so nice to have a gun that doesn't exude a thick stream of caulk when I stop pulling the trigger. No more frantically looking for the paper towel to set the end over. The ergonomic handle is another plus. I didn't think much of it, but I have small hands and repetitive stress problems, so it was a relief to find a gun that actually fit. I'd never realized how important that could be. The other real plus is the permanently attached rod that pokes through the seal some caulking manufacturers have in their caulk tubes. That alone makes the gun worth the price. No more looking around for something long enough to break the seal. And no more wiping the tool off before the caulk gets hard. So nice to have. So if it sounds like I'm thrilled with this caulk gun, you'd be right. I'm sure there are some negatives, but after always using the cheap guns, using this was just so nice. I won't go back to using the cheapest gun I can get my hands on. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Do It Yourself Must Have, October 20, 2011 By AuburnTygr (Central Alabama) This review is from: Newborn Brothers 930-GTD Gator Trigger Drip-Free Hex Rod Caulk Gun (Tools & Home Improvement) I recently began re-caulking all the windows in my home. My first attempt with a cheap caulk gun was an absolute nightmare. No matter how many times I tried to stop the flow of caulk it would just keep coming out. More caulk ended up on the glass and exterior walls of my house than in the cracks around the windows. I gave up after one window and began searching Amazon for a drip-less caulk gun. After looking at various kinds and reading reviews I decided on this one and it was well worth it. When you stop pushing the trigger the caulk stops immediately, no drips & no mess. One afternoon and all the windows were re-caulked and ready for what ever the weather and winter brings. I highly recommend this caulk gun and would purchase again if needed. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Smooth Action, December 7, 2011 This review is from: Newborn Brothers 930-GTD Gator Trigger Drip-Free Hex Rod Caulk Gun (Tools & Home Improvement) This is my first caulk gun and I'm not an expert at these. I got this one because of the high ratings on Amazon. I really resisted getting a caulk gun because I didn't want to store it in my tool room for what ever reason - it really doesn't take up too much space at all... I always used to use the squeeze tubes, but am now psyched to have this as gets used quite regularly and easy to use. PROS: -The grip is very comfortable with rubber cushion - good for short and very long projects -The moving mechanism is very smooth with a lot of control over how much caulk you squeeze out. Very even and accurate controllability -Fits all regular size caulk tubes & easy to load -Has a built in tube de-clog mechanism which I already used to clear out solidified caulk within an older & previously opened tube of caulk (may not seem like a huge deal, but I was looking all over for something long and skinny to jam in there, and it was built in all along) -No drip - just remove pressure on the trigger and caulk stops coming out Cons - none Tip - When opening the tube tip, be cognizant about how large a diameter you will need for the project. Start with a small tip opening and work on the small areas of your project, and then make it larger as needed. Great for doing painter's caulk on the wood trim after painting a room, or quickly fixing the bathroom sink, or applying construction adhesive / glue, or sealing up & winterizing those electrical outlets and cracks in the structure which allow for thermal & moisture leaks. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Heavy duty for a light price, October 1, 2011 By L. Martin "DIYgal" (Orangevale, CA United States) This review is from: Newborn Brothers 930-GTD Gator Trigger Drip-Free Hex Rod Caulk Gun (Tools & Home Improvement) Had to replace a cheap caulk gun that was too delicate for constant use. This gun is pretty heavy duty for the low price. Definitely easier to use and seems like it will last longer than most in this price range. Was this review helpful to you? 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Easy to use, June 6, 2011 By Andy H. (NEW YORK, NY, United States) This review is from: Newborn Brothers 930-GTD Gator Trigger Drip-Free Hex Rod Caulk Gun (Tools & Home Improvement) It does allow a little bit of filler to seep out of the end, but it's not a problem really, more expected. Didn't have any problems with this thing, re-caulked the kitchen in no time. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment

2 of 3 people found the following review helpful Tough, well built caulk gun but NOT dripless, November 7, 2011 By J. Morgan (LI, NY United States) This review is from: Newborn Brothers 930-GTD Gator Trigger Drip-Free Hex Rod Caulk Gun (Tools & Home Improvement) This is a well built tough caulk gun but my no means is it dripless. Once I let go of the trigger a standard latex caulk keeps pouring out indefinitely. There was more caulk on the floor than there was on my project. Was this review helpful to you?
