The lamp is exactly as it appears in the picture. If you need it to illuminate a small or medium living room, it does the job. The switch might be a little hectic but that's what you should expect with most of the switches of that type. The shade might surprise you a bit since when you take it out it seems like a cheap shade. It's plastic but it works and it almost looks like a glass shade from afar. If you're looking for an inexpensive lamp for your living room with a modern design this one might be it. Since it's 150W it should illuminate a large living room, I use a 60W and it illuminates my living room perfectly. Not too bright and not dark at all.

We replaced a cheap ($40) torchiere from Target with this lamp. We were looking for a plastic lens because our kids have a tendency to knock it over. The prior lamp almost immediately bent under its own weight. It was crooked. This lamp is much more sturdy and has been reliable. It's a pretty simple lamp, but for the price, it does exactly what we were looking for.

It's a simple, basic torch lamp. Surprisingly high-quality for the price. No frills, but I wasn't expecting any. Definitely a good value.

Bought this simple lamp to replace one that fell over and broke its glass shade. This one has a plastic shade, comes with the base, 3-piece stem and top connected with the cord so all you have to do is screw one into the other. Then a ring unscrews in the top and you place the shade on and re-screw the ring and you are done. It took me longer to find the scissors to cut the plastic taping then to assemble the lamp. Fortunately I had a 3 way 150 watt bulb already so I could use the lamp right away. Gives from soothing to medium to very bright light so our guests can see now in a 10 x 15 room where this is the only light source. I just ordered another to put in my daughter's bedroom. Amazon also sells the 150 watt 3 way smart spiral light bulbs. Much nicer light than any halogen lamp in my opinion.

This lamp was a good buy for the price. The lamp itself is not too sturdy but does assemble very easily and provides good light for a small room.

Much more than I expected. I had bought a similarly priced lamp at Target a few months ago and expected the same cheap flimsy type of lamp I got at Target. I did have a little hope because of the good reviews this lamp got, but when it arrived I was extremely pleased.

The lamp I bought at target was a complete nightmare, this lamp is the opposite. It is SUPER STURDY and EASY to ASSEMBLE. Not only that but it LOOKS GREAT!! I will not fall apart if you try to move it, it will not strip out threads while you try to put it together.

It has a plastic shade, which some people may not like, but I think it looks great and I love it. 5 stars and I'm ordering 2 more today!!!

I have an office in my home that doesn't have any ceiling lights. With this lamp I was more concerned about function than looks. How ever, the lamp really works great and also looks very nice. The light reflects off the ceiling for indirect light so there are no reflections on my keyboard or calculator. I'm very pleased with this product.

I would recommend this product to any one.

Being in the process of redoing the entire inside of our house, we are at a loss for lighting in some areas. Not easy to find your way across a living room with no light and cords and tools sitting around! This light is perfect and it will be a permanent part of our living room when it's finished. Super easy to put together, very classy looking and fits just anywhere. I like the weighted bottom, very stable for sure. I know that we will be getting a couple more of these. Excellent price and shipping was very quick. Pleasantly surprised at the quality too.

I am definitely satisfied with this lamp. Even thought it is cost effective it is very well made and aesthetically pleasing. The segmented post components screw together well, and the joints link up together properly. In the past I have purchased similar items at Home Depot and the item appeared to be cheaply made and was very difficult to put together. At least at this point this lamp seems to be a great value for your money.
I would definitely buy the product again. Note that it does not come with a bulb, so you need to remember to purchase one.

This lamp is absolutely perfect! I had previously bought cheaper versions of something like this from other stores and they simply have not held up. They were made out of flimsy materials and although they worked, they were short lived. This lamp is very sturdy and bright compared to some cheaper models that I have tried. I love this lamp for my studio apartment. I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a bright lamp to light a small to medium sized room
