This showerhead combines a standard fixed nozzle with a long, removable hose-led hand shower to give the shower taker the ultimate control over their shower. Prior to buying this showerhead, I used a standard fixed showerhead that provided a measly stream of water and and its nozzles often got clogged. After installing this showerhead, the water pressure is excellent! A giant step up from my old showerhead. Not only is the pressure excellent, the water nozzles all face slightly different directions, which give you a great massage feeling.

Here's a run down of the three modes:

Hand Shower only: Provides the best water pressure, because the water comes out the fewest nozzles.

Fixed Shower only: Water comes out of the outer ring nozzles only.

Hand + Fixed Shower: Water comes out of all nozzles. Using the mode, the water covers a lot of area at one time (waterfall style)

Many parts of the unit are plastic, including the entire hand shower, which I can appreciate that due to its lightness and maneuverability. Also, when the hand shower is placed in its holder, it 'clicks' in place, so you don't have to mess with the hose to get the shower head to stray straight ahead.

The hand shower has four modes, two that are pulsing, and two that are non-pulsing (massage).

This is a great showerhead that I would recommend to almost anyone.

WARNING: The three-way splitter does lower the showerhead's height by a few inches, so if you have a low shower arm you may want to take some measurements to make sure this setup will work for you.

I really like this product. Easy to install. The video someone provided on Amazon's site was helpful too. I suspect a long usage time with this product - if you don't abuse the individual inner sprayer as you separate it and return it to the main unit. The ONLY thing I would change is to have the "cord" a bit longer. It is long enough certainly for personal use, but to wash the dog - it would be nice to have it a bit longer - as he is fairly low to the ground.

Jan 2011 - Quite a nice product. After about a month, we still like it. The hose is a bit stiff, but overall it seems to be just about perfect. TONS of water when both heads are on at once, and we use mostly just the middle one for a regular shower. Would buy again and we do recommend it.

We dont have a lot of water pressure so I use one or the other of the spray heads, not both, but they each work really good. Also, the control to select which shower head to use is up high and I was worried about that, but I can reach it fine. It might be a problem for a shorter person and certainly for a child. Installed with NO tools, everything fit nice and tight, no leaks. The hose is long enough to reach the floor in my shower so spraying dogs or plants will not be a problem.

Just moved in to a new place that had pre-installed shower heads that were useless (low flow, felt more like a mist than a shower) and I needed an upgrade immediately to get an enjoyable shower experience. Anyway, I really like the design of these 2-in-1 shower heads with the option of the shower wand while still getting a steady flow from the frame/housing. At first I was considering the Delta version of this but they were more expensive. Then I found this Peerless branded one, in which I never heard of. To my delight, I found out that Alsons makes Delta and Peerless products... so there you go, you're getting Delta quality here without shelling out the extra dough! Moreover, the lifetime warranty makes this product a slam dunk in my book. This was real easy to install with no leaks what so ever. Just make sure to use some PTFE thread seal tape, insert the 2 washers (as the instructions indicate), and use a wrench to give it that extra tightening to achieve a nice water-tight installation (youtube it to find some PTFE installation techniques if you're a little lost). Now on to performance, this product rocks! I honestly didn't want to leave the shower because the water pressure and overall experience from this shower head was fantastic for this price point. I enjoyed it so much, I bought a second one for my parents!

If you're considering a new shower head, this is a great product at this price point. Sure there might be better ones out there, but not with the features of this one and for this value! Two things to note, 1 of the 3 stock photos shows that the hose has some chrome accents, this is not the case. It's just a nice flexible hose, nothing fancy but does the job just fine....not a big deal. Secondly, this product is made of durable plastic and is finished with a chrome-like surface. It's light and feels pretty well-built. It's not real chrome, so don't expect it to be as tough or heavy for that matter. Who cares, it performs nicely and with a lifetime warranty, I feel comfortable knowing that.

I bought this shower head in order to facilitate baths for a new dog, so I needed the hand-held part. It was surprisingly easy to install (but you do need a wrench to tighten everything), and it improved my water pressure in the shower. The large outer ring is great alone, and the hand held is maybe even too hard of water pressure when used alone in my shower, but I'll have to see how the new dog reacts. Most of it is plastic, but for the price, it's hard to beat.

I ordered this item and the picture showed a chrome tubing version. I got this cheap looking plastic tubing. They have since corrected the picture. The shower head is easy to install but you need to remove the rubber grommet, so that water entering the main shower head is less restricted. Pressure was very poor before I did this and is still not great. With both hand-shower and main head the pressure is not the best. The hand shower has 4 place setting but 2 of them are repeated. The middle nozzles never come on, so I assume it must be faulty. 2 spray not 4 spray. I will probably return the item, what a pain!

Pros:

1) Easy to install.
2) No leaking after install. Poorly designed systems with cheap rubber gaskets will leak after install. This one is water tight on the first try.
3) Very easy to use.
4) Design/Look is better than most.
5) Material use is slightly above average. It's all pastic, rubber ,and chromed plastic but everything feels smooth and well made. All the joints rotate in a smooth fashion.
6) The spray coming out of both the overhead and handheld is absolutely excellent. You can have both on at the same time or just one or the other.

Cons:

1) The knob water switch controlling handheld, overhead, or both switch is only available on LEFT side when installed with the sprout connection downward which is going to be 99% of the installs. If your shower opens to the right, this is a slight annoyance since it's harder to reach and out of sight.
2) Cable for handeld is at least 1-2 feet too short. Feels very constrained if you want to use the handheld to clean the tub which is what everyone does. It's not just for the shower. If you are the manfucture reading this, please take note. It will only a maybe a quarter to the production cost.

Almost no faults and

Second time around with this product and find it a good value for the money. Ease on installation is top notch and the 'fullness' of the shower spray is great. Works best if you take the 'low flow' washer out of the head!

The instructions seem simple enough. Make sure washers are at the correct locations and twist everything together. After about 20 minutes of tweaking and the showerhead/diverter/hose connections all leaking at different times, somehow angels sang and all the connections were just fine. Trial and error is key with this; I didn't replace any of the washers. One thing to be aware of is that when you have the showerhead (halo) and handheld on at the same time, they don't spray as equally far. For me, the stationary part sprinkled my shoulders while the handheld provided a much more powerful spray for my hair. It feels a little unbalanced, but good if that's what you're looking for. The handheld makes cleaning the shower & tub so much easier, also.
